Story Time Outline (30-45 minutes)

Welcome & Introduction (3 minutes)

Introduce The Skellies and the theme of weather. Ask children what their favorite type of weather is and why.
Story Reading with Pauses for Discussion (15 minutes)

Read "The Skellies: High-Flying Adventure" with strategic pauses at key weather moments. Use the visual aids to help children understand different weather phenomena.
Weather Mini-Experiment (10 minutes)

Choose one of the five simple weather experiments to demonstrate. Options include creating a mini-cloud in a jar, demonstrating static electricity, or showing how rain forms.
Discussion & Learning Check (5 minutes)

Use the character discussion prompts to talk about how Luke, Emily, and Frankie reacted to different weather situations. What did they learn? What did we learn?
Creative Activity (10-15 minutes)

Distribute the "Create Your Own Weather" coloring sheets. Children can draw their own weather scene and explain what's happening to a partner.

Emotions Discussion (5 minutes)

Use the emotion cards to discuss: How did the shy children in the story feel before and after meeting Minnie? How can laughter help when we feel sad or scared?
Laughter Activity (5 minutes)
